Money Flow - Expense Tracker ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our offline expense tracker app handles information. The app is designed to operate entirely offline unless you explicitly opt into an online feature (e.g., optional cloud backup).

1. Overview

Our default design keeps all transaction data on your device. We do not send personal data to external servers or third parties. Any new feature that changes this will be described in an updated policy and you will be notified.

2. Permissions & Camera Use

Camera: The app requests camera permission only to scan QR codes (for receipts, payment confirmations, or transaction import). All scanning and image processing are performed locally on your device.

  • No camera images or video are uploaded or transmitted off-device.
  • We do not retain raw camera footage beyond what is required for local, momentary processing (unless you explicitly save an image within the app).

3. Local Data Storage & Analytics

All transaction records, categories, notes, tags, and related metadata are stored locally on your device. Basic analytics (spending summaries, category breakdowns, trends, charts) are computed on-device and do not require internet access.

  • You can export, backup, or delete your data from within the app (if those features are available).
  • If you enable an optional backup/export feature that uses the internet, that action will be described clearly and will require your explicit consent.

4. No Third-Party Sharing

By default the app does not share, sell, or trade personal information with third parties. The app contains no advertising, analytics SDKs, or trackers that send data externally.

5. Security

Because data is stored on your device, your privacy is tied to your device's security. We recommend securing your device with a passcode, fingerprint/face unlock, or other OS-provided protections.

Note: If you enable any cloud backup or export feature, the security of those backups depends on the service you choose and any credentials you provide.

6. Deleting & Exporting Data

You have full control over your data. You can:

  • View and edit transactions locally.
  • Delete individual items or clear all app data.
  • Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored data (subject to your device's uninstall behavior).

If the app offers export or backup options (for example, CSV export or optional cloud backup), those actions will be initiated by you and will be described with the destination and any associated risks.

7. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app. If we introduce any feature that stores or transmits data off-device, we will update this policy and notify users before enabling that feature.
